Subject Search finds materials that match the search terms entered in library defined categories.

One way to search for materials on a subject is to do a Keywords search using the terms you have in mind. Alternatively, you could search the authorized subject headings assigned to these items. These subject headings are found in the Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH) list.

To do a subject search, select the Basic search mode. Then highlight Subject Headings Keyword.

Or use the Subject search tab.

Or select the Subject search tab.

Enter your search terms in the search box and click on Search:

Note: In some cases, you will find a See or See Also entry preceding a heading. If you click on link you will be taken to related subjects.

How to identify authorized subject headings: Look for terms in the Subjects area of the Record View.  This lists the subject headings assigned to each work. The subject headings are also links and you may click on them to search the new subject heading directly.
